This blog is dedicated to the memory of my grandmother Effie Belle Butler Wright (1885-1965), who introduced me to her favorite novel, ST. ELMO. Eventually, the book was handed down to me and inspired me to write THE PRINCE IN THE TOWER. I named the heroine “Effie Belle Butler.”
Beautiful dedication, Sheryl. Our “Mummie” would love it.
Ditto. I have another picture of her that I am posting soon.
Yes, she was a wonderful and kind person. She was very much part of my extended family. I have been thankful for Effie and Bunny Wright as they gave me a life I missed growing up.
I bet that Effie and Bunny were a fun-loving couple. I have come across many photos of them when they were young with a few of their small children, especially Inez. She always seemed to be wearing a bow in her hair.
